Biggest recovery of cash from a public servant's house


Sleuths of Vigilance Investigation Bureau conducted a raid on June 12, 2009 in the Raja Bazar residence of Sanjay Kumar, excise superintendent of Muzaffarpur and recovered Rs 48.78 lakh in cash and unaccounted property worth over Rs 2 crores. Raiding team also seized 800 grams of gold and over one kilogram of silver. Sabjay was caught red handed by the bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a liquor trader. Sanjy owns six flats at an apartment located at Chankayapuri Govardhan Lane in Patna.
