Land for Mahadalit families

Patna: Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Narendra Narain Yadav announced in the Bihar Assembly that State Government had decided to provide land to families of Mahadalits across the state for construction of house.

He said the Government would also provide 50 per cent resevation to women while disbursing the acquired celiling surplus land among Mahadalits and other weaker sections of the society. The total number of beneficiaries, according to statistics made available by the districts, was 105,913 and 3994.72 acres of land were to be acquired for the purpose and the department had sought Rs 815 crore from the government for land acquisition.
