Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar receives veteran socialist leader George Fernandes in a city hotel in Patna on July 29, 2009. Fernandes is likely to file his nominationpapers as the ruling JD(U) nominee for the by-election to the lone Rajya Sabha seat in Bihar. Fernandes contested as an independent candidate from Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha seat and lost after he was denied JD(U) ticket.
