Bihar CM announces sops for school students




Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the National Education Day (Shiksha Diwas) function at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on November 11, 2009.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister announced a series of sops for school sudents.
Mukhyamantri Cycle Yojana, which was earlier meant for girl students only, now is extended to class IX boys.
Bihar government will introduce school dress scheme for boys and girls from class III to V and tour grant to all middle and high schools.
Bihar Government will celebrate Bihar Diwas in April to develop Bihari pride among youths.

Bihar Chief Minister also gave away several prizes to achievers of Bihar in different field relating to education.
Prema Shah (second photo from top:left) got the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Literacy award for spreading the light of education in Done and Gounaha blocks of Bagaha districts. The award carries Rs 2 lakh cash and a citation.
