Bihar Pavilion attracts investors and business visitors

Patna/New Delhi, November 14, 2009:
Bihar Pavilion attracted investor and business visitors on inauguration day of 29th IITF at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Saturday. President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil inaugurated the 29th India International Trade Fair in a colourful function.

Bihar Pavilion has been decorated on the theme of 29th IITF-“Exports of Services. On first day, stalls of different tourism circuits, BIADA, BRPNN Ltd, Shudha Dairy in Theme Hall of Bihar Pavilion and stalls of handicraft, handloom and Madhubani painting on first floor of pavilion were the centre of attraction among the visitors, according to Deputy Director, Industries Department and Trade Fair in charge of Bihar Pavilion Umesh Kumar Singh.

Keeping in mind to attract more and more tourists and investors in Bihar, this year Bihar Pavilion would showcase “Bihar – Boundless Opportunities” and Bihar – Wisdom-Faith -Science in the Theme Hall of the pavilion, said Atish Chandra, Chairman, Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Limited.

The main participants in Bihar Pavilion are; Department of industries, Department of Rural Development, Women Development Corporation, Upendra Maharathi Ship Anusandhan Sansthan, Bihar State Khadi and Village Insdustries Board, Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam, Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation, Bihar Education Project Council, Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority, Bihar State Handloom Weavers Co-op Union Limited, Bihar Foundation, Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation (COMFED), Bihar Emporium, Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh, Sulabh International Social Service Organization, Mahila Udyog Sangh, M/S IL&FS-Cluster Dev. Initiative Limited, Patna, M/s Sudha Shakti Industries, Patna, M/s Litshica International, Muzaffapur and M/s. Arya Jutes, Patna.

The pavilion showcased a wide range of products apart from models, photographs, charts and scripts to explain the modern development in Bihar in the field of investment, infrastructure and tourism and work done by the government for creating new business opportunity in Bihar.

Daily cultural programmes based on Bihar’s folk dance and music will be the special attraction on this occasion. Stalls of Madhubani, Mithila Godna painting, handloom silk and sari, Appliqué bed sheet, Madhubani sari, Suzni work sari, Laah- Churi are the added attraction of Bihar Pavilion.
