Now, Bihar government will build rural roads

Bihar Government took up the responsibility to build rural roads by its won agancy. Inaugurating the construction work on 4000 kms of rural roads, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the government would soon make a policy for the maintenance of rural roads.

Kumar also held Central agencies responsible for the tardy progress of rural roads under Prime Minister Gramin Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) in Bihar. He said that the tripartite agreement signed by the previous government handing over the construction works to Central agencies was against state's interest.

The Chief Minister also released a souvenir of Bihar Road Development Agency (BRDA) in Patna on October 30, 2009.
