Bihar cabinet holds meeting on floating restaurant MV Ganga Vihar






Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held his cabinet meeting on Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation's 48-seater AC floating restaurant known as MV Ganga Vihar in Ganga on Makar Sakranti day (January 14, 2010) with an aim to promote Ganga tourism in the state. This was the third cabinet meeting outside Secretariat. First was held at Begusarai village, the second was at Rajgir hills. Special Bihari delicacies (Chura and Dahi-beaten rice and curd) were served during the meeting.
The meeting decided to form Bihar Revenue Service and Bihar Rural Development Service-the two new services in the state. It also decided to restructure Bihar Adminstrative Service.
A Bihar Heritage Development Committee and making the Bihar river pollution-free including the river Ganga were among the other important decisions taken in the meeting.
