NRIs urged to invest in Bihar



New Delhi: Bihar Industry Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav inaugurated Bihar Stall in 8th Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas 2010 at Vigyan Bhawan here on Friday.

Development Commissioner of Bihar, Naveen Kumar, CII Chairman of Eastern Region, Satyajeet Singh, MD of BIADA Anshuli Arya, Industry Director Uday Narayan Thakur, Director Technical Development, Mahesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar from Bihar industry Association and In-Charge of Bihar Stall in Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas and spokesperson Indu Bhooshan and Ajay Kumar from BIADA were present on the occasion.

This year the main focuses of exhibition in Bihar Stall at Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas are investment opportunities, infrastructure, food processing and tourism.

In his key note address Industry Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav urged the NRIs to invest in Bihar . He said Bihar is on the move and it has vast opportunities with untapped market potential.
“The state is poised for major development and growth in the next few years. Bihar today is a land of boundless opportunities across many sectors including infrastructure development, food processing, sugarcane and ethanol production, textiles, leather, healthcare and tourism”, he said.


Bihar Stall at Hall No-A in 8th Pravashi Bhartiya Diwas, New Delhi exhibits major achievement of Bihar Government and showcasing work progress and achievement of major departments.
