Trade Unions fill-the-jail campaign on March 5

Communist Party of India (CPI) general secretary AB Bardhan addresses a press conference in Patna on January 29, 2010.
Speaking on the occasion Bardhan held Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and the UPA responsible for price rise. He said trade unions, including Congress-affiliated INTUC, across the country would launch a fill-the-jail campaign on March 5.

For the first time in 25 years, all the trade unions (TUs) including INTUC and BJP-affiliated BMS have forged an ideological link on the issue of price rise and food security.
Bardhan blamed the new liberalised economic policy being pursued by the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre was responsible for the price rise.

"It is not only Pawar and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, rather the entire Congress is responsible for the problem," he added.
