Vice-President Hamid Ansari releases commemorative coins on Rajen Babu










In a day-long tour, India’s Vice-President M Hamid Ansari reached Patna on February 28, 2010 to participate in Bihar Government organized functions to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Deshratna Dr Rajendra Prasad, first President of India and on the occasion of his 47th death anniversary.

The day began with Governor of Bihar Debanand Konwar and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar welcoming the Vice-President of India M Hamid Ansari, at Patna Airport (photo 1 and 2).

Vice-President of India M Hamid Ansari along with Governor of Bihar Debanand Konwar and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid floral tributes to Deshratna Dr Rajendra Prasad, first President of India on the occasion of his 47th death anniversary at Bansghat, Patna on February 28, 2010 (photo 3 to 5).

Later, the Vice-President M Hamid Ansari paid the floral tributes to Deshratna Dr Rajendra Prasad on the occasion of his 47th death anniversary at SK Memorial Hall in Patna (Photo 7).

Hamid Ansari inaugurated the function commemorating the 125th year of the birth of Deshratna Dr Rajendra Prasad and on the occasion of his 47th death anniversary at SK Memorial Hall (photo 8).
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed the function (photo 9).

Vice-President Hamid Ansari released commemorative coins of Rs 100 and Rs 5 at the function (photo 10).
