Bihar Congress wants public debate on central assistance

Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) spokesman Prem Chandra Mishra challenged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to participate in a public debate with the party on central assistance in the state.
Mishra was adressing a press confernce in Patna on July 4, 2010.
"Kumar or his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi should accept the challenge on the issue," he said. Terming as "false" the chief minister's allegation that the Centre had rejected the state's proposals for the uplift of Madarsas in six Muslim-dominated districts, he said it was
a desperate attempt to mislead the minorities ahead of the assembly election in the state.
