Rajgir-Tilaiya railway line inaugurated

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated Rs 180 crore Rajgir-Tilaiya railway line at Rajgir on June 29, 2010.
Speaking on the occasion, Nitish Kumar said the 70-km railway line would ease the problem of the people travelling to Tilaiya in Jharkhand and would help in supply of coal to the NPC unit at Barh.
"It will also help reduce the cost of per unit energy production from the plant because the freight charges of coal to be transported will come down significantly," he said.
He also flagged off 544/545 new Danapur-Rajgir passenger trains on the occasion.
