40 passengers injured in Bihar train dacoity

Armed criminals stormed Delhi-bound Lal Quila Express train, assaulted passengers and looted them of valuables over Rs.2.50 lakh in cash and jewellery at gun point near Bhalui halt in Bihar's Lakhisarai district about 135 km from Patna on August 6, 2010.

More than 40 passengers and a jawan travelling by the train were injured when the armed men fired at GRP personnel and attacked them.
Enraged over the incident, passengers, mostly kanwariyas (devotees of Lord Shiva), shouted slogans and ransacked the office of the station master in Kiul.
