JD(U) slams projection of Lalu as CM

Janata Dal (United) Bihar state president Vijay Kumar Choudhary accused the RJD-LJP alliance of "trying to push the state back to the phase of jungle raj" by projecting Lalu Prasad as its chief ministerial candidate in the coming assembly elections.

Choudhary was talking to scribes in Patna on August 17, 2010.

He alleged that corruption, misrule and anarchy would once again prevail and halt the state which was on the path of development and was set to emerged as a developed state by 2015.

Meanwhile, a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Bima Bharati, wife of alleged gangster Awadhesh Mandal, joined the ruling JD(U) in presence of state JD (U) chief Vijay Kumar Choudhary in Patna on August 17, 2010. Bima was also present in the press conference.

She was elected elected to Bihar Assembly from Rupauli in Purnia district since 1995.
