Non-gazetted employees go on indefinite strike in Bihar

About three lakh non-gazetted employees went on an indefinite strike from August 23, 2010 to stall the functioning of the state government offices across Bihar. They were demanding removal of alleged discrepancies in implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission report.

Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (BSNGEF-Gope Group) general secretary Rambali Prasad and Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (BSNGEF) president Manjar Kumar Das claimed that the strike was total.
