BJP leader Kalraj Mishra in Patna

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national vice-president Kalraj Mishra said the UPA government's "gross economic mismanagement" was the main reason for price rise in the country ever since it took over the reins in 2004. Kalraj Mishra was addressing a press conference in Patna on August 29, 2010.

he said there had been gross economic mismanagement in the country and a lack of coordination between the ministers and policy-makers and the will to take remedial measures to check in escalating price rise.

He also criticised the UPA government for its failure to tackle internal security in the country "reeling under one or other form of insurgency" and said its ambivalent stand on the demand of autonomy for Jammu & Kashmir was a glaring example of its failings.
