Lalu welcomes six-phase polls

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad welcomed the six-phase Bihar Assembly polls schedule announced by the Election Commission. Talking to reporters in Patna on September 6, 2010, he said it would ensure better turnout of voters.

“Luckily, the dates for the elections are spread over festivals in Bihar and most of the voters will be available. I think it will help increase voters' turnout in the state this time," he said.
