RJD leader Om Prakash and LJP leader Md Sarfuddin joined the ruling JD(U) with their supporters in presence of Bihar JD (U) president Vijay Kumar Choudhary in Patna on September 15, 2010. Speaking on the occasion Choudhary claimed that was a "perfect understanding" with BJP in the run up to the Assembly polls.
"We have a perfect understanding with BJP and speculation regarding rift between the two coalition partners has been a creation of media," he said.
