Sitting MLA Azazul Haque, quit RJD after his claim for a ticket was passed over by the leadership. Haque is the brother in-law of former MP Md Sahabuddin. He tendered his resignation from RJD in Patna on October 1, 2010.
"I have handed over my resignation to the RJD's office staff in the absence of any senior leader in the party office," he said.
