Workers ransack RJD office in Patna

RJD workers supporting the candidates who have been denied party tickets for Bihar Assembly election ransacked the party office in Patna on October 4, 2010. They accused the party leadership of neglecting genuine workers in allotting tickets.

Waving placards and shouting slogans against RJD leadership, a section of party men from Mahua Assembly constituency in Vaishali district stormed the party office and damaged the furniture.

Police, however, swung into action and arrested 7 demonstrators.

Party workers from Danapur had staged a dharna before the official bungalow of RJD president Lalu Prasad at Circular Road to protest the alleged "arbitrary and discriminatory" distribution of party tickets on October 3, 2010.
