Doctors of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) joined the state-wide junior doctors' strike in Patna on February 1, 2011. Junior doctors of all medical colleges of Bihar went on indefinite strike from January 30, night following a scuffle with Belaganj MLA Surendra Yadav.
