Bill and Melinda Gates visit Patna villages

Bill and Melinda Gates arrived in Patna on March 23, 2011 to take the first hand account of the community health schemes launched by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in some villages of Bihar. After reaching Patna, the couple drove straight to Simraha and Jamsaut villages in Danapur. They asked the villagers about the health clinics, hospitals and the availability of vaccines and polio drops. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has been working to develop low cost vaccines and pneumonia in India.
Later, the Gates couple called on the Bihar Chief Minister at latter's official residence in Patna.
