Amartya Sen releases report on Elementary Education in Bihar

Nobel laureate Amartya Sen released a report on ‘Elementary Education in Bihar: Progress and Challenges’ at a function in Patna on July 5, 2011. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and HRD Minister PK Shahi were present on the occasion. Addressing the function, Sen said Bihar should strengthen the primary education system for higher education to flourish. He urged the government to do more for this sector.
