NCC Day celebrated in Patna
National Cadet Corps (NCC) celebrated its 63rd Raising Day at the Patna College ground in Patna on November 26, 2011. The day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Cadets took part in ceremonial parade, quick attack demonstration, cultural programes, aero-modeling and ship-modeling. Major General Rajpal Singh, Additional Deputy Director General of Bihar and Jharkhand Directorate was the chief guest. Patna University Vice Chancellor Dr Shambhu Nath Singh released a souvenir on the occasion.
Alcohol Prohibition Day observed in Patna
Bihar Government organised a function to observe "Alcohol Prohibition Day' in Patna on November 26, 2011. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the function. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi was present on the occasion. A painting exhibition depicting the consumption of liquor a social evil was also organised to add charm to the function.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar releases report card of first year of his second term
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar released the report card "Vikas Yatra" after completing six years in Government and first year of the second term in Patna on November 25, 2011. Unveiling the report card, the Chief Minister said better land management would be next agenda of his Government. He announced to increase the retirement age of the university teachers and Government doctors from 62 to 65 years. He also announced to launch Paudhshala Protsahan Yojana and Vriksha Patta Yojana to give a much-needed boost to Green Bihar campaign.
