Bihar Government to create CVO in all departemnts

Bihar Vigilance Department's principal secretary AK Chavan said the State Government had evolved an action plan to weed out corruption with plans to create posts of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) in all the departments. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bihar unit celebrated the 88th birth anniversary of former state Chief Minister Jananayak Karpoori Thakur at SK Memorial Hall in Patna on January 25, 2011. Several BJP leaders including Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi participated in the funation.

Nitish Kumar to inaugurate high-energy linear accelerator at Mahavi Cancer Sansthan

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate the facility of high-energy linear accelerator machine at Mahavi Cancer Sansthan in Patna on January 28. This was disclosed by the institute officials at a press conference in Patna on January 25, 2011. Director of the institute Dr Jitendra Kumar Singh said the machine could treat complex areas of the body with great accuracy. It was imported from UK at a cost of Rs 9 crore.
