Now, Bihar is leprosy-free State

Bihar Government claimed that the State is now almost leprosy free. Talking to media in Patna on April 24, 2012, Bihar Government Health Secretary Amarjeet Sinha and Bihar State Health Society Director Sanjay Kumar said the leprosy prevalence rate had come down to less than one per 10,000 population.

Six criminals arrested in Patna

Patna Police arrested six criminals for their alleged involvement in a March 31 loot case in which the criminals had robbed off Rs 80,000 from a salesman of Maa distributors. Talking to media in Patna on April 9, 2012, Senior Superintendent of Police Amrit Raj and City Superintendent of Police Kim said police had also recovered Rs 4,000 in cash, two country-made pistols, four live cartridges, six cell phones and one mobike from their possessions.
