Highway robbers gang busted
Patna Police claimed to have busted a gang of highway robbers and rescued two abducted persons from their possessions. While talking to media persons on July 25, 2013, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Patna Manu Maharaj said seized a looted pick-up van laden with Nokia cell phones worth Rs 29 lakh.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed a Press conference in Patna on July 24, 2013. Kumar said the there was "definite involvement of outside elements in the shocking Mid-Day Meal tragedy at the Dharma Sati Primary School, Mashrak (Chapra) on July 16, 2013. "The tragedy was neither accidental nor negligence", he said.

7 held; job racket busted in Patna
Patna Police arrested seven persons from Ashiana Galaxy Tower located at Exhibition Road on the charges of duping unemployed youth for providing jobs in agriculture and small industry sectors in Patna on July 23, 2013. The arrested persons had collected several lakhs of rupees from the job-seekers.

Patna Police nab two psycho robbers
Patna Police arrested two psycho robbers from Rajiv Nagar locality in Patna on July 23, 2013. DSP (law and order) Mamata Kalyani said the criminals were nabbed by Rajiv Nagar police when they tried to escape after committing theft at one Ganesh Sao's house in road No. 8 of Rajiv Nagar locality. Both arrested criminals were drug addicts, she said.

Police job-seekers block Bailey Road
The stretch between Dak Bungalow crossing and Hartali Mor on the Bailey Road witnessed an unprecedented traffic jam as selected candidates for Bihar Police job through 2004 selection test blocked the road demanding appointment letters for them. Police resorted to lathi-charge to quell the job-seekers.

BJP leaders take pledge to donate their bodies after death
Bihar unit of the Dadhichi Deh Dan Samiti organised Sankalp Utsav (Pledge fest) in Patna on July 22, 2013. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat was the chief guest. Four BJP leaders including former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and former MLA Ganga Prasad voluntarily offered their bodies and organs for transplantation and medical study purpose after their deaths. As many 65 persons had offered to donate their bodies after death to the samiti. BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, former Bihar Health Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Bihar BJP chief Mangal Pandey were present at the function.
