Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Shyam Rajak tendering his resignation to State Assembly secretary in Patna on June 13, 2009.Rajak resinged from the RJD as the national general secretary, national spokesman and an MLA in Bihar Asembly. Rajak is all set to join ruling Janata Dal United (JDU). Rajak blamed internal bickering and humiliation at the hands of a coterie of senior leaders as the reason for his decision to quit RJD.
