Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurates an international conference on "Disaster Management of Livestock", organised by Rajendra Agriculture University (RAU) in Patna on July 14, 2009.Speaking on the occasion, Bihar Chief Minister expressed his grave concern over the huge loss of livestock in last year's Kosi floods. He felt that marooned people did not want to come out of their houses leaving their livestock hapless to meet the watery grave. He urged the veterinary scientists to prepare a model on how to save the livestock during the floods.
