Rich tributes were paid to Veer Abdul Hamid on his birth anniversary in Patna on July 1, 2009.Members of the Veer Abdul Hamid Foundation urged the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to construct a memorial in Hamid's name in Patna. They also lauded Chief Minister decision to celebrate the birth anniversary of Abdaul Hamid as state function.
