Rashtriya Janata Dal president and former Union Minister Lalu Prasad said construction of high dams in Nepal was the only solution to check Kosi flood.Speaking at a workshop on “Kosi Flood: Key Lessons, Community-Based Risk Management and Livelihood Enhancement” in Patna on October 30, 2009, he said high dams would paved the way for electricity generation and irrigation in the region.
