Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached Bodh Gaya on his four-day sojourn on January 27, 2010. The CM visited several places in Gaya district and its neighbourhood including Kurkihar, Sujatagarh, Dharmanhar and Dhudeshwari.
Speaking on the occasion Bihar Cihief Minister Nitish Kumar stressed the need for a thorough research by archaeologists at the key Buddhist pilgrim centre. "History of humanity is hidden in the area which requires thorough research, survey and extraction by experts,"he said.
Later, addressing a public meeting he said the places were of historic importance and would be connected to the Buddhist circuit.
