No respite from biting cold

After a brief respite from chilly weather conditions, the people of Bihar experienced intense cold on January 17, 2010 with the mercury plummeting due to strong northwestern wind sweeping the state.
Mercury nosedived further and a thick blanket of fog engulfed Patna. The city recorded a minimum temperature of 10.3 degrees and a maximum of 14.3 degree C.
