Jamshed Ashraf resigns from Bihar Assembly and JD(U)

Former Bihar Excise minister in the Nitish Kumar government Jamshed Ashraf resigned from the Bihar Assembly and primary membership of ruling JD(U) after accusing the NDA ministry of being anti-minority.
Jamshed Ashraf was talking to scribes in Patna on June 7, 2010.
"The NDA government has meted out a step motherly treatment to Muslims during its four-and-a-half-year rule," he said.
He said the minority community had bestowed trust in the chief minister but he failed to do anything to alleviate the conditions of the Muslims.
