The two houses of Bihar legislature witnessed a raucous start with opposition parties, including RJD-LJP combine, Congress and Left parties, demanding immediate resignation of Nitish Kumar government in the light of Patna High Court's order of a CBI probe into the alleged multi-crore central fund scam Patna on July 19, 2010. The Patna High Court had last week ordered a CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities of Rs 11,412 crore in execution of development and welfare schemes between April 1, 2002 and March 31, 2008.
