World Statistics Day celebrated in Patna

Directorate of Economics and Statistics organized a workshop on ‘Convergence for improving birth registration’ at Soochna Bhavan in Patna on October 20, 2010 to mark the World Statistics Day

Speaking on the occasion, Bihar Government’s Planning and Development Department secretary Vijoy Prakash said the government and the civil society should work in tandem to improve the status of birth registration in the state.

The NGOs and the Unicef were already contributing to this noble cause, he said.
