Bank of India to expand its operation in Bihar

Bank of India Zonal Manager PK Bansal said that BoI would provide computerized banking infrastructure in 100 villages of Bihar which have population of 2000 or more as part of its financial inclusion programme, expected to be completed in 2015.

The BOI ZM was talking to reporters in Patna on November 6, 2010.

He said BOI had entered into a contract with Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) for providing the facility.

Bansal said the BOI would provide “no frills” banking facility to rural poor in 12 districts of Patna Zone. “The bank has entered into a contract with Unique Identification Authority of India (UIADI) for the purpose”, he added.
