Doctors express concern over newborns death in Bihar

A seminar on neonatal mortality was organized to mark the National Newborn Week in Patna on November 14, 2010. National Neonatology Forum, Bihar, organized the seminar. CK Mishra, principal secretary (health), Government of Bihar, inaugurated the seminar. Dr Arvind Shailli and Dr Sushma Nangia of Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi were the guest speakers.

The deliberations revealed that about 90,000 newborns died every year in Bihar and about 250 parents lost their newborns every day in the state.
