Lawyers strike work in Patna

About 80,000 lawyers across the state struck work on February 15, 2011 in response to the seven-day strike call given by Bihar State Bar Council demanding denotification of the order for holding evening courts between 7 pm and 9 pm.

Following the strike, work in all courts of Bihar including Patna High Court was affected badly.

The Bar council general body in its meeting denounced the continuation of the evening courts despite repeated requests.
