Stage set for Bihar's 99th Foundation Day celebrations

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the Gandhi Maidan to oversee final preparations for the much-talked about Bihar Diwas celebrations in Patna on March 21, 2011. Bihar HRD Minister PK Shahi and HRD secretary Anjani Kumar Singh were present on the occasion.

The three-day celebrations will begin on March 22 and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate the function. Bihar Diwas is celebrated to mark the foundation day of the state. It will be the 99^th foundation day of Bihar as it had been carved out as a state from Bengal Presidency on March 22, 1912.
