Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal lays foundation stone of IIT-Patna campus in Bihta

Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal laid the foundation stone of IIT-Patna campus in Bihta about 30 km from Patna on April 19, 2011. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Bihar HRD Minister PK Shahi were present on the occasion.

Addressing the function Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the IIT-Patna campus would be ready by 2013.

“The proposed IIT-Patna campus, spread over a sprawling 500 acres land at Bihta, will be ready and functional in two years time,” he said.
