Aarakshan to hit screens on August 12

Producer-director Prakash Jha addressed a Press conference in Patna on his upcoming film “Aarakshan” in Patna on June 27, 2011. Jha said his latest venture reflects controversial policies of caste-based reservations, but it does not take into account the movement after implementations of the recommendations of the Mandal Commission.

“The film does not carry any context of the movement for Mandal Commission and the infamous self-immolation by Rajiv Goswami. It is fully concentrated on the dilemma created over Mafiaism and commercialisation of the education system because of reservation,” he said. “Aarakshan will hit the screens on August 12.
