Monsoon session of Bihar Assembly begins

Monsoon session of Bihar Legislative Assembly began in Patna on July 15, 2011.

The first day of the week-long Monsoon session of the two houses of Bihar legislature witnessed a noisy start with opposition MLAs holding demonstrations against the June 3 police firing at Forbesganj in Araria district that left four dead and scores others injured.

Just before the house met for the day, RJD, Congress and LJP MLAs holding placards held demonstration in the portico of the Assembly.

The ruling party MLAs demanded a debate on Governor’s role expressing their displeasure on the information that Rajbhavan had returned three bills-- Bihar State

School Teacher and Employees Dispute Redressal Bill, Bihar State University Commission Bill and Bihar State Administrative Tribuan Bill passed by the house during the budget session.
