Landless garden and kitchen garden programmes in the offing

Bihar government’s SC and ST Welfare Department and Bihar Mahadalit Vikash Mission signed an MoU with three NGOs for implementation of ‘landless garden and kitchen garden’ programme aimed at uplifting the condition of the “Mahadalit” people at a function in Patna on September 8, 2011. The MoU was signed by Bihar SC/ST Department Secretary Ravi Parmar and the NGO - Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSPI) - CEO Apoorva Oza. Under the MoU, the NGOs - AKRSPI, Grameen Vikas Trust (GBT) and Shrishti - will launch the “landless garden and kitchen garden’ pilot projects in 13 districts of Bihar.
