Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi inaugurated IGC Bihar Gowth Conference in Patna on December 14, 2011. The conference was organised by International Gorwth Centre.
Addressing the conference Modi said Bihar government was according top priority to skill development of labourers who migrate from the state to Gulf countries and rest of the country. Stating that about 40 lakh to 50 lakh labourers of Bihar migrate to Gulf countries and other states annually for better earning and they contribute a lot in the state economy, Modi said that migrant labourers of Kerala, Punjab and Gujarat have contributed much to the economy of their respective states.
