Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLAs, MLCs led by former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and other Opposition parties MLAs staged demonstration outside Bihar Assembly in Patna on November 30, 2012 demanding a statement from Government on the circumstances leading to the makeshift bridge collapse that claimed 17 lives at Adalat Ghat on Chhath puja festival. They were demanding CBI probe into the matter. Other Opposition party members were demanding CBI probe into the alleged MNREGA scam.
