Bihar has become densest state of India

AK Saxena, joint director, Directorate of Census Operations, Bihar, released the first set of final data from the Population Enumeration Exercise held in February 2011 in Patna on May 17, 2013. According to reports, Bihar has become the densest state as the density of population continued to grow from 881 in 2001 to 1106 in 2011 in per square kilometre. The male and female ratio is also dipped as it is 1000/918 in 2011 comparing to 1000/919 in 2001.
