Ashiana-Digha drain cover up work still in progress

The construction work to cover Ashiana-Digha drain (1.8 km long) has been in progress for the last seven years. It is learnt that project taken up by Bihar Rajya Pul  Nirman Nigam Limited had failed to meet the deadline for its completion thrice. Now, the project is expected to be completed by March 2014. Due to continuous digging operations and placing the heap of soils by the roadside, the entire stretch up to Ashiana Mor has become highly-polluted dust zone, inviting health hazards for the residents of the locality as well as for commuters.
