Bihar’s jute art is centre of attraction in Bihar Utsav 2017




New Delhi: March 21, 2017: 15 days long Bihar Utsav 2017 showcasing the different and unique talent of Bihar’s artisans becomes the centre of attraction for the art and handicraft lovers here at INA Dilli Haat in Delhi. Jute art by Nikki Jha amd others are attracting the visitors to their stalls through varieties of wooden art and handicraft. 

The exhibition cum sale of handicraft and handloom products and development of tourism in Bihar through painting exhibition are the main attraction of Bihar Utsav 2017. A large number of people kept thronging the venue since the Utsav began on March 16. 

Varieties of jute arts like jute bag, doll, owls, pen stand, Rajgir temple and many other jute art and craft have been drawing the visitors in Bihar utsav 2017. Stall owner of jute art from Supaul district said: "Tourists from several foreign countries and other states have been visiting the stalls to purchase the products."

Madhubani paintings are also getting attention from the visitors. A Madhubani painting stall owner said that in his paintings the most famous paintings was the fish art painting and the colour.
"I added no chemical in the colors.I made it from all natural sources like burning rice I made the black color, from aprajita flower I made the blue color" .

Apart from jute art stall, there are around 50 stalls of handloom and handicrafts in Bihar Utsav. Bhagalpuri silk, siki products, jewelry of Mahesi, Motihari terracota products, tikuli art, tribal print suits, tasar silk and famous handloom bed sheets of Biharsharif are on sale in the pavilion.
