Pappu Yadav demands ban on organisations making religious matter a political issue

Former Member of Parliament (MP) and JAP president Pappu Yadav has demanded an immediate ban on organisations making religious matters a political issue. Along with this, he also demanded investigation of the controversial statement given by Nupur Sharma.

Pappu Yadav attacked BJP and RSS at a press conference at JAP office in Patna on June 11, 2022. "It is unfortunate that Nupur Sharma is being given protection," he said. He demanded immediate arrest of Nupur and said that other facilities including the right to do politics should be taken away from her. He also took a dig at the perpetrators of violence. He appealed to the people not to get involved in the politics of political parties. National spokesperson Premchand Singh was present on the occasion.
